The Transformers are a race of sentient, shape–shifting machines, fighting a generations–old civil war that has devastated their homeworld Cybertron and threatens to engulf the rest of the galaxy. The battle–toughened members of the elite G.I. Joe anti–terrorist squad are the best soldiers the U.S. military has to offer. Their primary mission is the defeat of the hi–tech international organization Cobra. As the Joes scramble to keep a crash–landed Transformer out of Cobra’s clutches, they discover that they just might be a few decades too late. Will an alliance between the Joes and the Autobots be enough to stop Cobra and the Decepticons, or will secrets from the past cause their defeat before the battle has even begun?
